Spotlight on Copenhagen Fashion Week 2022

With its painfully cool designs and pioneering innovations, Copenhagen Fashion Week has established itself as a leader in sustainability, laying down a set of minimum requirements that brands will have to adhere to by 2023. Here are just some of the sustainable Nordic brands we have had our eye on this week...

(di)vision

(di)vision is a unisex design studio founded on the ideology of "creating from what already is". Their main focus is on reconstructing and upcycling, using only quality deadstock fabrics and existing materials to challenge the traditional industry's old ways.

Baum and Pferdgarten

Baum und Pferdgarten is one of the leading Danish fashion houses, aiming to inspire and invigorate people through eclectic, bold and poetic designs. They stand for empowerment creating a safe space for self-expression for each individual.

Kerne.milk

Kerne.milk seek to create non-seasonal pieces that enhance natural curves and shapes of the body. They believe in upcycling, giving new life to deadstock materials and offcuts from previous collections to create one-of-a-kind pieces.

Jade Cropper

Launched in 2020 Jade Cropper challenges traditions with an emphasis on versatility, imperfection and deconstructed design. They use waste fabrics, deadstock and recycled material paired with inventive construction to create timeless pieces.

Skall Studio

Founded by sisters who grew up in coastal Denmark, nature plays a pivotal role in their design, use of materials and traditional production methods. Their signature Danish knitwear uses natural materials such as wool, linen, organic cotton and recycled cashmere and employs traditional skills from local craftsmen.

Tomorrow Denim

Tomorrow Denim is the world's first denim brand certified by both The Nordic Swan Ecolabel and the EU Ecolabel. They make their jeans to last with an emphasis on quality fabrics and denim construction, as well as that balance of style and functionality that the Danes do so well.
