Jade, founder of Dainty London, began creating handmade silver jewellery from her kitchen table in 2011. Since then, she has attended a number of accredited jewellery courses through The Goldsmith's Centre, British Academy of Jewellery (BAJ), The City Literary Institute and mentored by Hopton & Furlong, St Albans. Dainty London was established in 2016.
Each piece of Dainty London jewellery has a timeless, childlike narrative. The idea is that the wearer develops a deep emotional connection with each piece, something of an unwritten love story, just for the owner.
There are five main ranges of jewellery; The Diminutive Collection, Woodland, Grain, Cornish Coast and Archetypal Bridal. Each range has a different and incredibly intimate inspiration.
Each item of jewellery is made in recycled silver where possible, along with sterling silver, 18ct gold plate and 9ct gold. The techniques and skills in creating the pieces are through granulation, sand casting, forging and etching.
We have recently been featured in the Postscript magazine, Ted Talks, Love My Dress (wedding blog), The London Jewellery Showroom, London Fashion Week 2019, Top Drawer 2019 at London Olympia, high street shop Joules, and recently worn by celebrity Sabrina Adhowre (Idris Elba’s beautiful fiancé) at the Oscars and the Versace party in LA.
