About Daisy Grice
Born into a family of artisan blacksmiths, I have always felt the desire to create. With a passion for dark art, gothic haute couture fashion and heavy metal music, I often find the things I believe to be intriguing and beautiful are often seen as unnerving, or peculiar, to others. It is this that drives me to create my jewellery, to show there is beauty within darkness. Dedicated to go against fast fashion, I create edgy, wearable sculptures, to last a lifetime.
Twisted Tales is an award-winning collection of fiercely striking, gender fluid, jewellery pieces designed to empower and celebrate their wearer. Inspired by elements from the natural world such as entwined branches, thorns, fangs and bones that have been manipulated and combined with dark enchantments of the supernatural to create bold wearable sculptures. The collection was created through the fusion of my traditional goldsmithing techniques and modern computer aided design technology and comprises of both highly polished sterling silver and matte black nylon elements with black diamond details, contrasting through colour, texture and heft. Throughout the collection, sweeping curves meet at sharp points, with every line having been carefully considered to create precise sculptural forms that look enticing from every angle. The collection portrays my love of H.R. Giger and is headed by a one of a kind black statement collar, bejewelled with sterling silver thorns.
