Farah Qureshi
The inspiration behind Farah Qureshi's collection comes from many different sources - largely botanical gardens and looking at the structures, forms and colours of the plant life. Life is inspiring and Farah's designs develop from initial drawings and making models, into making initial prototypes. Farah is stocked around the United Kingdom and also showcased jewellery internationally. Farah designs and makes jewellery in precious metals, both silver and gold using recycled metals in her studio in West London and holds a Fair trade licence.
Over the last few years, Farah has received a number of awards, high commendations and shortlists including: being named one of the 100 small business by small business Saturday, winning a place on a brooch collaboration with transport for London and Craft Central. Other awards are being highly commended for the made in Britain award by the Heritage Crafts Association, being highly commended for the Green award through Hounslow Council 2016 and winning the Green award through Hounslow Council 2017 amongst other awards. Farah has also won the Heathrow world of opportunity award 2017 and have been shortlisted for the Winston Churchill Memorial trust award 2017 and product of the year award, gifts for women by Notonthehighstreet 2016.
